It's been a crazy week. Mom has been all stressed. I guess work is tough right now. The company laid off some DM's on Monday and while Mom still has a job, a DM in the area is now gone. That means she got more stores. She now has 4 stores in Lodi. Where is Lodi?? I hear they have some great wine there but I've never even there. So that means that Mom has been coming home and working in the evening. But... we did get our walks. We had a long, long walk on Sunday and Monday. The 2 miler. But then yesterday we got the short one. Oh well.
Now mom is stressing over going on vacation. I thought vacation was suppose to be relaxing! She hasn't picked out clothes or finished some house projects or anything. All Buddy and I care about is what is happening to us while she is gone. It sounds like Aunt Rory will be here for the week. We love Aunt Rory! But mom says she will be gone for 8 days. That is the most she's been gone for a year. What if she forgets us? What if she doesn't come back? Buddy is scared. I'm not.
Hopefully she'll take some new photos to post because we are sick of the old ones.
OK... time to bite mom to get her to take us out.

I'm back
Hey!!
Sorry I've been gone for a while. I just took a little break. We'll call it a creative lapse.
Not much going on these days. The dog days of summer-- Ha ha.. a little doggie humor.
Mom's been working as usual and we've been barking, sleeping, playing, pooping and eating as usual. Most days we've had walks. Last week wasn't so good for the walks. It was 100 degrees every day and the smoke was heavy. We'd walk for a few minutes and then have to go inside. This week it was much better. only in the 90's and not so smokey.
We had a little misstep on Thursday walk. Mom wasn't paying attention and stepped off the curb and fell. She went right down on her knees and dropped the leashes. Right away she started yelling for Buddy who just froze and looked at her like she was nuts. I of course ran right to mom to make sure she was okay and to lick her face. Mom picked up the leashes and got back up. She scrapped both of her knees and ripped a hole in her pants. Not good. The rest of the walk she was grumpy. But we got home and she iced her knees and they weren't so bad. but she still felt sorry for her self for a couple of days.
Last night the Hastings and Aunt Rory came over and mom fixed dinner for everyone. They watched Rory on Jeopardy. I guess she did good because everyone kept cheering. I don't care how she did, I was just happy to see her. Buddy got in big trouble all night. lately when people come over, he's been doing the happy dance on their legs. Mom gets embarrassed and mad. he wouldn't stop!! all night! I don't know what's wrong with that boy.
Today, mom is suppose to be painting the bathroom . I need to go bite her to get her moving. I promise I won't take such a long break next time.
