Christmas is over :( It was nice but fast. Let see... what has happened since I last wrote. Mom worked the days before Christmas. On Christmas eve, Aunt Rory came over mid-day and cooked stuff to take to the Hastings. Then Mom got home and she packed up stuff to take to the big dinner. They left the house around 6 and mom didn't get home until 11pm! Buddy and I were not happy. But, mom said dinner was great. She did a coffee tasting for the group, they ate tons of appetizers and then a delicious dinner. It was the Hastings, Aunt Rory, Mom, Stevie and boyfriend and Neighbor Jeff. Then the next morning mom slept late and we laid around all morning with a fire in the fireplace and napped and snuggled on the sofa. it was the perfect morning. Buddy and I got bones in our stockings and mama Renee sent us homemade dog bones. Yummy! Grandma and Grandpa Gillingham sent us 2 kinds of bones. We are getting a little chunky! Mom took us for a long walk and then around 2pm she headed back over to the Hastings. The next day, mom worked in her office and then again headed to the Hastings around 3pm to do after Christmas shopping with Aunt Jane and to attend a boxing day party. Today, once again, she's getting ready to head to the Hastings. they are going to be sick of seeing her. They are having an open house today and dogs aren't invited. Mom went and saw a movie called Marley and Me with Savannah yesterday and she said it was about a dog. She came home and kissed me hard on the head and hugged me. I was like... Back off! you are suffocating me!
Some dumb dog made her all sappy with us.
So that's the updates from here. I'll be glad when all this Christmas stuff gets packed up and things get back to normal.

Almost Christmas
Sorry I've been out of touch. It's all that Christmas stress. I've just been busy, busy, busy.
First, last weekend Aunt Jane and Aunt Rory came over with cousin Savannah to make Christmas cookies. They baked all evening and the next morning. Savannah wrapped gifts while they were baking and handled the taste testing. Buddy and I got nothing! Okay... maybe a little extra love but no cookies. Then all week mom was late coming home because she was finishing up her shopping and mailing and everything else. all this running around has buddy and me stressed out. We like it when she doesn't do anything but come home and sit with us. then on Friday she drove down to Fresno for her bosses Christmas party. Aunt Rory stayed with us and then mom came home on Saturday and went to another party with the Hastings. That's the most social stuff she's done in months. Today has been slightly better. We all slept late and then laid around and read the newspaper. Mom took us for a walk, the first one this week. I will admit it has been cold and rainy everyday but I don't care. I'm good with walking in the rain. Today there was a slight break in the weather and buddy and I kept jumping on mom until finally she took us to the park. We got a half a lap around and it started raining again. Plus, it was cold. Don't tell mom but it was pretty miserable. We finished the lap and headed home to the warm house. Now we have a fire going and mom is settling in for the evening. I'm hoping this week will be better. It sounds like all the shopping is done and there's nothing left to wrap. I'm looking forward to getting back to our old routines.
I wonder what Santa is bringing me?? I asked for some new squeaky toys just to irate mom. Plus a big bone would be nice. I might even share with Buddy.
If Santa tries to come down the chimney... I'm prepared to bite him.
that will teach him to use the front door like normal people.

It's December!
Wow! Christmas is just around the corner. Thanksgiving was a week ago and now we are getting the house all decorated.
First, let me update you on the past week. We had a nice Thanksgiving. Buddy and I had turkey and gravy. There were a lot of people in the house. I didn't care for that too much. Aunt Jane, Uncle Jack, JH, Savannah, John & Jeanette were all here. They aren't too bad but it means that mom is busy entertaining and doesn't just sit and love on me. Dinner came together okay. Of course the last 15 minutes is pure chaos. Everything is done at the same time and mom is kicking people out of the kitchen and fussing at everyone. BUt... now that is done and the weekend was pretty good. Mom ended up working Friday and Saturday so that wasn't too fun. Oh I forgot... that morning Mom and the Hastings did the Run to Feed the Hungry. Mom left bright and early and they came home all pumped up. They raised over $500. That's a lot of food for hungry people. I was very proud of them for getting up early and doing it. They had a record number of people this year, 28,000.
The week wasn't great. We didn't get any walks. It was wet and foggy all week. Mom didn't get home until after 5 everyday and she said it was too cold. But today we had a nice long walk in the park. We didn't go until 1pm and it was still foggy. Weird looking. Buddy of course pulled the whole time. When we got home his belly was soaked! He was covered with twigs and mud. What a mess!
So the rest of today mom is doing Christmas decorating. Aunt Rory is here which means extra lovin for me! Cousin Savannah is coming over to spend the night. Mom said something about Sushi for dinner. Yuck... raw fish.
I'll post some photos once the tree is up.
