long walk

Hey!
What a day. Mom had the day off today because she has to work on Saturday. So she says we are all going to sleep late. Ha. She gets up at 7 am and drags us out of the bed with her. Liar! Then she spends 2 hours on that %$&^ laptop. I thought she wasn't working! Then she finally takes us out for a walk. Now... I'm not a genius but last night the weather man said today would be warm, very warm. It is over 80 degrees. But she decides to go for a walk at noon. Not just any walk but a really long walk. Of course Buddy and I are just excited to get out of the house. So we go along. 30 minutes into it I thought Buddy was burning up! His tongue was dragging the ground. We even stopped for 10 minutes and sat under a tree. Mom kept saying "It's not that hot." but she wasn't the one wearing the fur coat. Finally, 2 miles later we got home. Buddy drank a gallon of water and panted for an hour.
I overheard mom on the phone yesterday booking a grooming appointment. Yikes! I think I know what that is. Buddy doesn't so I think I'll keep it a secret until next week. I'm not too excited about it but I do have to admit that Buddy stinks. Even to me. Plus, I've peed on his head a couple of times and it's kinda beige.
Tonight Mom and Aunt Rory are going to Aunt Jane and Uncle Jacks play. They don't allow dogs:(
I'm including a couple of photos to prove how exhausted we were after the walk. No EXAGGERATION. Okay... gotta go, there's a dog walking by and I've warned all the neighborhood dogs to quit walking in front of my house!
