almost Thanksgiving

Do you like the new colors of my blog? i thought they were kind of Christmasy. It's almost Thanksgiving!! That means turkey and gravy for me! This week mom made a ham. Yes... a whole ham. It was a Paula Dean Ham. She had a meeting and that's what she took. Buddy and I had Ham scraps. Don't tell mama Renee because she'll fuss that we are fat. I'm not fat. Just comfortable. I'm anticipating growing taller this year so I need to fill out first.
It's been a pretty good week. We had walks most days. 2 days mom got home too late. Of course these days if she isn't home by 5, it's too dark. She said we'll get long walks this weekend. We'd better. Tonight when she walked us, she got all frustrated. I've gotten this new habit that is annoying. Ha ha. As soon as I see another dog or person, I run at mom and just start jumping on her. Then I keep doing it even after they have gone. I jump non stop for about 5 minutes. It makes it really difficult for mom to walk and she starts tripping over me. I love that! Then she gets all mad and says "walk Sonny!" in that very stern voice. But I just keep jumping. Between that and Buddy having to stop every 5 steps to smell something, we barely make it around the block. Of course mom blames us but I watch the dog whisperer and I know it's never the dogs fault. It is always the persons fault. Isn't that true with kids too? Always blame the parents. I love that!
Not much else happening. Mom was a little grumpy the past few days. I think it's PMS but I don't dare mention it. She'll bite my head off. She is finally getting over that cold she's had. It's been 3 weeks! She is still coughing some but not as much. At least she isn't waking us up at night. she went to the Dr. because she insisted she had pneumonia. But, it was just an upper respiratory infection. She still swears it's pneumonia but we all know how dramatic she can be. Because of all of the coughing, she hasn't been running for 3 weeks. She tried last week and fell into a coughing fit. I don't know how she plans to run that 10 K on Thanksgiving morning. the one for the Sacramento food bank. I keep telling her to do the 5K with Jane and the kids. we'll see.
Okay. It's time to snuggle on the sofa.
I'll write more later.
Sonny
