I can't believe it is November!! How did that happen? It has been a busy/ crazy couple of weeks. Mom was in New Orleans all of last week for her Leadership conference. She said it was inspiring and fun. She flew out last Saturday and spent a free day playing in the city. She went on a graveyard tour with some co-workers and ate biegnets (fried dough). The conference was 10,000 people, all mgrs and DM from US and Canada. They did 50,000 hours of community service, painting houses, planting trees, painting murals, clean up etc... PLus on the last day, which was the one big group day in the arena, Bono talked to them. Now, I don't know much about music but I do know that this guy Bono is pretty big stuff. I guess Starbucks is going to participate in the Red campaign. Providing support to Africa. So now mom is all jazzed up and ready to go. Except... she came home sick. SHe is coughing like crazy. She's drinking cough syrup like it's wine and sucking down cough drops by the bag full. I guess too much fun will do that to you.
So while she was gone, Aunt Rory took good care of us. Nothing much happened but it did rain which is pretty unusual. The rain started a couple of days ago and it hasn't stopped. The only drag with the rainis that it means we don't get our walks. Not Good.
Right before mom left, she bought me a yellow toy. It was soooooo fabulous. For 2 days I squeaked and squeaked. I was determined to find the squeaker. and then on the 2nd night I broke through and dug into the guts of the toy and.... found the squeaker. Once I got a hold of that squeaker, I was able to sleep. But the next morning mom woke up and and screamed. there was stuffing/ guts all over the bed. I didn't care because I had the squeaker but mom did not seem too happy. She took the yellow toy away. Why oh why!!! I have posted a photo of me with the yellow toy for your enjoyment.
